hectic weeks

So, I'm very busy few weeks ago. I have to follow the orientation at my new university. I have to wake up at 4 a.m and sleep at 12 a.m. That was very very tiring, but i got a lot of things from it. And now I'm hereeeee!!! But I still have a lot things to be done before august. Just pray for me, cause I don't know I can do all that things or not. And tomorrow I'll going to Semarang, hope I can take a lot of pictures there. I think it's enough for this post. Bye! See you soon and stay tuned :)

My Inspiration

Hi there! I’m finally back after so long. As my promise, I’ll dedicate this post to my inspiration, JOSEPH VINCENT. I forgot since when I started to like him, but it’s not important. I really love his eyes and his eyebrows. So, this is his bio which I got from one of his fanbase @josephvfans. Thanks to them :)

Check this out guys!

Joseph Vincent Encarnacion, a 22-year-old acoustic singer, born on August 01, 1989, has paved his way to being a Youtube sensation. He is also known as JV, Joe, and Joey V, but as a performer, he is known as Joseph Vincent. He was born and raised in Southern California, and is currently residing in San Fernando Valley. Joseph is of full-blooded Filipino and you can hear him speak the Tagalog language during some of his interviews. He has one younger brother named, Jeremy. He and his brother share the same initials “J.V.E” derived from both of his parents. Joseph graduated from the University of California: Irvine with the class of 2011.

Joseph is left handed but plays the guitar with his right hand. His love for singing started when he was just a little kid, and not until he started playing the guitar at age 15 and taught himself how to play by just listening to the sounds of chords, his whole aspect for music changed dramatically. His first songs were mainly covers of some of his musical influences such as Jason Mraz and Jack Johnson. Other influences Joseph looks up to are: James Taylor, Colbie Callait, John Mayer, Justin Nozuka, and Bruno Mars. He started writing his own compositions at the age of 16. One of his favorite compositions is “Take a Break” because it’s a motivational song that many listeners can relate to, and includes a catchy tune. Joseph’s composed songs are mainly about both past and present experiences, and writes most of them when he’s inside his room.

Joseph has played in many venues such as The House of Blues, The Knitting Factory, El Rey Theatre, The Roxy Theatre, The Troubadour, and numerous coffee shops. Being a Filipino, Joseph has also performed at the 17th Annual Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture in August of 2008. He was able to travel to the Philippines in the summer of 2009, where he played his first show overseas at My Brother’s Mustache, a folk bar in Quezon City. Joseph then competed in the Kababayan Superstar, a contest created by Southern California’s local Filipino news-station, and won.

In April 2010, Joseph was featured on the Ellen DeGeneres’ Show during their “Wonderful Web of Wonderment” segment, and performed to Iyaz’s “Replay.” During this episode viewers can see how nervous Joseph was as he scanned the audience not believing that it was all real. Joseph did so well the first time that he was invited back for the second time that same year as a performer and sang to Mike Posner’s “Cooler Than Me.” He had also mentioned that he prefers live performances where fans can get to know the real him; rather than posting videos online where fans just see him sing and that’s it. Coming from the show, Joseph had won about $10,000 from their online competition and stated that he didn’t have to work during that summer.

When JV isn’t writing songs or doing shows, he enjoys hanging out with his family and friends, playing basketball, volleyball, snowboarding, and enjoying life. His favorite movies are “Finding Nemo and Up.” When travelling, he has to have that movie, his cell phone, laptop, guitar, and toothbrush with him. His favorite colors are blue, green, and Earth tone. His favorite songs are “I’m Yours,” and “I Won’t Give Up.”

These past two years have been pretty hectic for Joseph. He released two singles entitled, “If You Stay” and “Bumblebee” in 2011, and his current single “S.A.D. (Single Awareness Day)” was released in February 2012. His latest and huge show so far was the Youtube Stars Concert where he and many other Youtube stars ventured out to Singapore and performed their hearts out for their many fans. His subscribers on Youtube have even reached over 270,000 people. Joseph is also currently working on his debut album entitled, “Blue Skies,” which is aimed to come out October of this year. This album includes many of Joseph’s un-heard compositions, and many of them include his love-life. Many of his fans can see how much he has grew since the day he posted up his first video. He is not only making many of us proud, but he is also having the time of his laugh doing what he loves – singing.

#Blueskies

I made this picture after reading one of Joseph Vincent’s tweet. He always inspire me. “If You Stay” was the first song I heard and I instantly fell in love when I heard his voice. Now, I’m a huge fans of him. Last month, I had the chance to meet him in Singapore and I heard his voice. LIVE!! I’m so lucky. Although we stayed in the same hotel, I can’t take any picture with him because I must go to the airport and went back to Surabaya. I hope JV will come to Indonesia someday. He has a lot of fans here. Now, my friend and I are doing a secret project for JV’s birthday. Hopefully, we can give something memorable for him :)

PS : wait for my next post, it will be about him ;)

Hi everyone!

Hi everyone!
This is my first blog and also my first post. Honestly, I don't know what to write here. For some reason, I became interested in creating a blog after reading my friend's blog, Lydia, and you can also visit her blog here. Also thanks to her for a tutorial that she made for me. Maybe later I'll use this blog as a place to tell what I feel, a problem that I face, my dreams (because i am a dreamer like my blog title :p), etc. I wish I could keep writing on this blog since I was very easy to get bored. And this is the end of my first post. Wait for the next post guys!

Love,
Jess
